Since 1938 — A Tradition of Uniform Headwear
Hankin Brothers Cap Company began in 1938 when Max Hankin and his sons Sydney and Benjamin opened a small manufacturing shop in Buffalo, New York. Their goal was clear: produce uniform caps of a standard that matched the honor of those who would wear them.

Benjamin Hankin advanced that vision further with the creation and patent of the Adjust-A-Size™ sweatband (U.S. Patent No. 4,481,681). This innovation changed the way uniform caps were ordered, stocked, and fitted — and remains a cornerstone of our production today.
Now in its third generation of leadership, the company is still located in Buffalo and continues to provide caps to police departments, fire services, military personnel, and security agencies across the country.

We strive to make the best uniform caps available, backed by integrity, craftsmanship, and respect for the professions who rely on them.
